The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Pic Saint Loup , is nestled 20 km north of Montpellier. Backed by the Cévennes foothills, this terroir is one of the most northerly of the Languedoc AOPs. Exclusively made up of clay and marl-limestone soils, this one is one of the coolest in Languedoc. The Château de Cazeneuve , located in the town of Lauret, is an estate with a long wine tradition. Certainly one of the most beautiful, with 35 hectares of vines divided between 80% red grape varieties and 20% white grape varieties. André Leenhardt has succeeded in making his wines among the most famous of the AOP Pic Saint Loup .
