The San Andreas Fault comes from vines at an elevation of 1,300—reaching a height with plenty of sun above the fog line. Due to the site’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the San Andreas Fault, the vineyard has a fearsome diversity of soils, aspects, elevations and microclimates. The San Andreas Fault is Hirsch Vineyards’ signature Pinot Noir and is crafted to represent the entirety of this multifaceted vineyard. It is their flagship release and the wine that represents the summation of this complex vineyard. Aged in 100% French oak (27% new) for 11 months.
